Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data NexEV collects when you use nexev.in, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have.
1 Who We Are
NexEV Private Limited ("NexEV", "we", "us") operates the online store at nexev.in, selling lithium battery-building components and kits. We are registered in Karnataka, India (GSTIN: 29AALCN2942C1ZF) and are the data fiduciary responsible for personal data collected through this website.
2 Information We Collect
We collect only what is needed to process your orders and operate the store:
- Account data — name and email address, managed through Google Firebase Authentication when you create an account or sign in.
- Order & delivery data — shipping name, full address, PIN code, phone number and the items in your order.
- Payment data — payments are processed entirely by Razorpay. We never see or store your card number, UPI PIN, or bank credentials; we receive only a payment confirmation and payment ID.
- Technical data — standard server and CDN logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) collected by our host, Cloudflare, for security and performance.
3 How We Use Your Data
- To process, fulfil, ship and provide support for your orders.
- To send transactional emails — order confirmations and shipping/status updates — via our email provider, Resend.
- To comply with tax, GST-invoicing and other legal obligations under Indian law.
- To detect, prevent and investigate fraud or misuse of the store.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not send marketing email unless you have explicitly opted in.
4 Sharing With Third Parties
We share the minimum data necessary with service providers who help us run the store:
- Razorpay — payment processing (governed by Razorpay's own privacy policy).
- Delhivery and other logistics partners — name, address and phone number required to deliver your parcel.
- Google Firebase — authentication and order storage.
- Resend — sending transactional email.
We may also disclose data where required by a valid legal order or to protect our rights. We do not otherwise transfer your data outside these purposes.
5 Data Retention
Order and invoice records are retained for as long as required under applicable tax and company law (typically up to 8 years for GST/accounting records). Account data is retained until you ask us to delete your account. Other personal data is kept for no longer than 24 months beyond its purpose unless a longer statutory period applies.
6 Security
The site is served only over HTTPS. Payments are handled off-site by Razorpay. Access to order data is restricted to authenticated accounts and authorised NexEV staff. While we apply reasonable security practices as required by the SPDI Rules, 2011, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7 Cookies & Local Storage
We use your browser's local storage to remember the contents of your shopping cart, and Firebase sets cookies/tokens to keep you signed in. These are essential to the store's function. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
8 Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you may withdraw consent at any time, by emailing service@nexev.in. We will respond within 48 business hours. Deleting your account does not remove records we are legally required to retain (such as GST invoices).
9 Children
Our products involve lithium batteries and are intended for adults. The store is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

We may update this policy from time to time; the "Effective" date above reflects the current version. Questions or requests relating to your data can be sent to our Grievance Officer below.
