A charger that mismatches your pack is at best useless and at worst dangerous. Three numbers must agree: voltage, current and connector type.
Charge voltage
- 1S Li-ion charges to 4.2V (TP4057 Type-C is ideal)
- 2S charges to 8.4V
- 3S charges to 12.6V
Charge current
A safe default is 0.5C — half the pack's amp-hour rating. A 2Ah pack charges happily at 1A. Higher currents reduce lifespan and add heat.
